Tender beef with broccoli leaves and florets. Not only delicious, it is nutritious!
Recipe type: Lunch or Dinner
Cuisine: Asian
Serves: 4
  • 1 lb beef sirloin/tenderloin sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli
  • ½ cup Chinese broccoli stems (optional)
  • 2 cups cut broccoli leaves (optional)
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • ½ tsp corn starch diluted in 3 tbsp water
  1. Heat cooking oil in a pan.
  2. Saute minced garlic and onion.
  3. Add beef.
  4. Stir fry beef till its tender. You may add 2-3 tbsp water here so it does not dry up.
  5. Add soy sauce and oyster sauce.
  6. Put the broccoli leaves, stem and florets.
  7. Put the corn starch diluted in water till sauce thickens. Let it simmer to desired consistency of broccoli. (I don’t like it overcook…it taste better when it’s crunchy).
  8. Serve hot with rice.
